I’ve had many of my fall decorations since I was first married, which is almost exactly 13 years as we just celebrated our anniversary. I wanted to pick up a few new things this year to freshen up my fall decor. It has been so hot here that I actually decorated a couple weeks ago in hopes fall would soon be here. The past couple days it has felt wonderful. We’ve propped our windows and doors open at night and in the morning and that cool air feels heavenly!
I have a sign in our entry way that I change throughout the year to go along with holidays. I had a new one printed up for fall this year. I found this adorable free printable here. It is for an 8×10 but I had it printed up at Costco as a 16×20 with no problem. It was in a pdf format so I just copied and pasted it into my design program and saved as a jpg in order to be compatible to print at Costco.
I have two mason jars hanging by the 16×20 frame that I switch out throughout the year. During the fall, I put these acorns and leaves I found at JoAnn.
I found a new table runner, fall sign, wheat grass, and owl at Home Goods. I don’t know when the owl became associated with fall, but I love it! I really love owls and this fall it seems to be all about the owls! There were so many to choose from but I controlled myself and only bought one. I found one that lights up that is really fun at night. My husband gave me the beautiful roses for anniversary and I love how they make the berries in the runner pop.
I have some apothacary jars that I put different items inside for different seasons. In the fall, I like to put artificial leaves and fall berry branches.
I didn’t do much on the mantel, but I strung a leaf garland I found at the Dollar Store.
I found these at JoAnn to display on our kitchen table.
I bought some artificial pumpkins for outside. I will add more to our “Pumpkin Patch” in October when we visit the pumpkin farm. I bought a couple bales of hay at Michael’s a couple years ago that I pull out each year. I found the Pumpkin Patch sign at the Dollar Store. They have some great Halloween stuff too this year that I will be showing you when I decorate for Halloween. We are going all out on our front yard this year so watch for that post soon!
