I recently attended a free parenting webinar presented by Amy McCready of Positive Parenting Solutions. I loved it! She hosts the webinar often and it is focused on why kids misbehave and how to give consequences. She said consequences really should only be used 10-15% of the time. The other 85-90% of parenting issues require other tools, which she discusses as part of her subscription webcasts. See her webpage for more info.
She also has a book, If I Have to Tell You One More Time… where she discusses her parenting strategies more in-depth.
She also has another book called the Me, Me, Me Epidemic that discusses how we can raise grateful children in an over-entitled world.
She has lots of great parenting advice available on YouTube. I’ve linked the YouTube video to each of the parenting topics she discusses. I’ve really enjoyed listening to these and finding new parenting strategies.
Do time outs work? How do we make effective consequences that work long-term?
Do you have a child who won’t eat what you’ve made for dinner? How do you get your child to eat healthy food?
This is something we desperately needed! My three-year old comes out constantly at night wanting to chit chat, show us some lego creation he’s made us, ask questions, etc.
*I am not affiliated with Positive Parenting Solutions in any way. I just enjoyed the free webinar and her other videos online and wanted to share with you!
